Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of retailscout (the “Service”), operated by RETAILSCOUT LTD (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

retailscout helps UK retail-arbitrage sellers find stores, plan routes, look up product data, and track finds. Store locations, product data and other information are provided for convenience and may be incomplete or out of date; you are responsible for verifying anything you rely on for a purchasing decision.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and use the Service for lawful purposes only.

3. Membership & billing

• Access to the Service requires a paid monthly subscription, billed in advance via Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime from Settings; access continues until the end of your current paid period.
• Prices may change for new subscribers; your price is held while your subscription remains active.
• If a payment fails, we allow a short grace period, after which access is suspended until payment succeeds.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape, resell, or redistribute data from the Service, reverse-engineer it, or use it to break any third party’s terms. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.

5. Third-party data & services

The Service uses third-party data and services including OpenStreetMap, Ordnance Survey (postcodes), and product data providers. Their data is provided “as is” under their respective licences. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any retailer named in the app.

6. Disclaimer & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or losses arising from purchasing decisions made using the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Assignment & business transfer

We may assign or transfer these Terms, and our rights and obligations, to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of our business or assets. Your account and subscription may be transferred as part of such a transaction.

8. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for breach of these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to its courts.
